This is a free event; however they ask everyone to donate 5-$10 to cover costs and give the traveling band some gas cash. This is a community event, word of mouth only, that’s what makes it so much fun! Friends camping and playing music together! They will most likely be digging a pit toilet or may rent a porta-potty if enough people request one. (vault toilets a mile and a half away) and no running water. (See ‘What to bring” below)
DIRECTIONS: From the town of Mojave, north of Lancaster take hwy 14 north for about 19 miles to the Jawbone Canyon turnoff. Turn Left and drive 4.6 miles to a dirt road.. (Gold Canyon Road on Google maps… follow the signs)… Turn right and drive 2.0 miles. The campsite will be in the right.
What to Bring: **PRIMITIVE CAMPING** EVERYONE PLEASE BRING SOME WOOD. Camping Equipment, TONS OF WATER (at least one gallon per person per day), FOOD, BE PREPARED FOR REALLY COLD/WET (unlikely) OR VERY HOT WEATHER, both can happen in the same day, though usually the weather is quite nice.
